THROUGH THE LUANG PRABANG FAMILY HOLIDAY TOUR, YOU WILL DISCOVER

Day 1: Arrive Luang Prabang (D)

Welcome to Luang Prabang, the cultural capital of Laos. Transfer to your hotel and after spend some time at leisure.

Depart the hotel at 16:00 to begin Luang Prabang experience partaking in a local game called petanque, play with locals and kids for fun.

After the traditional game, climb a stair of 328 steps to the peak of Mount Phousi to take in the great city view and countryside by the Mekong River. From the other side, get down and stroll through the colorful night market of the neighboring hill tribes.

Pick for some traditional souvenirs before enjoying welcome dinner at a fine restaurant in Luang Prabang.

After a tasty meal, return to the hotel for a good night sleep.

Day 2: Luang Prabang – Kuang Si waterfall– Spa excursion: Bathing with Giants (B, L)

Depart from Luang Prabang and transfer to countryside. Sits by the ever green primal forest and flow from a limestone karst, Kuang Si Waterfalls remain as one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Southeast Asia.

For more natural wonders of Laos, make a stop on the way out at the Asiatic Black Bear center. These bears have been saved from poachers and black market. They will be look after and reintroduced back to their habitats. If time permits, walk to the nearby butterfly garden to see hundreds of butterflies all colors swirling around.

At 14:30 after lunch time, take a transfer to village of Xieng Lom. On arrival, have some welcome drink of coffee or tea then meet with the staff in this elephant sanctuary to receive some basic instruction and understanding about the natural behavior of the gentle giants.

It is time to meet with new big friends and enjoy some time to feed them with their healthy preferred snacks.

NOTE: Customers should not bathe the Elephants directly. This regulation is to be complied with WAP-World Animal Protection Guidelines. The elephants have their own volition to choose if they want to enter the water or not and only their mahout will be the one to wash them.

Return to spend the night in Luang Prabang.

Day 3: Luang Prabang – Kamu lodge (B, L, D)

Enjoy the breakfast and start your tour of Luang Prabang’s most highlights. After visiting Wat Xieng Thong, walk down to Wat Xieng pier to board a river cruise up the Mekong to the Kamu Lodge.

Along the way, visit Pak Ou Caves which sit on a karst cliff. The caves are jammed with many thousands of Buddha statues of all sizes, from a centimeter big to human size ones. After the cave, journey will head forwards to Kamu Lodge.

After check in and enjoy lunch, take the afternoon at leisure or choose to take part in following activities:

• Plan rice or harvest rice (seasonal) 
• Learn the traditional fishing techniques in the Mekong

Overnight at Kamu lodge.

Day 4: Kamu lodge – Luang Prabang – Departure (B)

Take the last hours at the lodge to relax. Enjoy lunch at the lodge and transfer back to Luang Prabang, arriving at the city in late afternoon before transfer to the airport for departure flight.
