As they look all the same ten thousand other drivers so keep an eye out for your Vespa driver! Your companion for the afternoon will be a local expert guide. Take a deep breath, hug your driver’s weist and head out of town and cross over the river and head into the beautiful rural countryside. Stop to take some panoramas of Hoi An ancient town by Thu Bon river, before reaching Cua Dai fishing village. Here, observe the crafting skill of making local bamboo basket boats. Then study how fishermen making Vietnam’s famous fish sauce and sample some delicious “banh xeo” – a local food speciality known as Vietnamese pancake!
Afterwards, vanish in zig zag country roads winding through the peaceful villages. Crossing on a spectacular bamboo bridge is one highlight! Whoops! Well, it’s boring repeating the road so let’s do as local do. Enjoy breathtaking green landscapes and fruitful farmlands. Stop to see how local rice wine and crispy rice crackers are made and you will be offered to taste too! Suck up some yellow thick noodles or My Quang, a famous local dish made with fresh rice noodles. Finish your fantastic adventure with a journey back on a local ferry ride while enjoying the sunset glowing over the Ancient Town.
