THROUGH DISCOVERY OF MAI CHAU AND PU LUONG, YOU WILL EXPLORE
Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau (L, D)
At 8 AM, leave bustling Hanoi behind and drive to Mai Chau (approximately 4.5 hours). Along the way, the road journey winds up to mountains, farm land valleys of orange and sugar cane dotted with Vietnamese traditional villages.
After some photo stops, arrive in picturesque valley of Mai Chau, nestles amidst the fertile verdant rice fields and spectacular limestone formations. Be greeted and welcomed by the owner, have some tea and enjoy a home meal for lunch. Have some relaxation in the homestay before commencing on a light hike around the nearby Thai hamlets.
Dinner tonight will be soon served, comprising the home grown rice and vegetable cooked in local style, be prepared that the hospitable owner will certainty invite you some homemade rice wine to express his hospitality following the Thai tradition. After dinner, enjoy a traditional music and dance performance performed by the local Thai girls. Spend the night in a traditional house of the ethnic White Thai for an incredible Vietnamese homestay experience. (The homestay accommodation has basic condition however comfortable, sleeping area is arranged separately in one long room, bedding and mosquito nets available).
Day 2: Mai Chau – Pu Luong (B, L, D)
Wake up early to enjoy peaceful life in the north mountains, enjoy breakfast then take 45 minute transfer to Pu Luong. On the way, enjoy spectacular view of the mountain and the river. Arrive at the Pu Luong Retreat, spend time to stroll around the beautiful lodge for panoramic valley views. After lunch in Pu Luong Retreat, transfer to Cham River to commence on a scenic walk looking for traditional water wheels. See how local people transport water up to their rice terraces via the bamboo aqueducts.
On the same river, experience a bamboo raft on the calm river then arrive at Tan Lap Bridge to disembark for the transfer back to Pu Luong. Dinner will be served in the Pu Luong Retreat.

Day 3: Pu Luong – Hanoi (B, L)
After breakfast, stroll down to the valley, walk along the path winding the rice terraces. Stops will be made en route for photos of the picturesque traditional villages dotted the valley. Observe locals tending their farmland with buffaloes or planting their crops while enjoying the spectacular mountainous views that changes at every turns.
Return to Pu Luong Retreat for lunch before taking the transfer back to Hanoi.
