THROUGH CUC PHUONG & NINH BINH – WILDLIFE DISCOVERY TOUR, YOU WILL EXPLORE

Day 1: Hanoi – Cuc Phuong National Park (L, D)

Discover wildlife in Vietnam’s most significant National Park of Cuc Phuong. In 1962, after an inspection trip prior opening mountain trail from North to South, Ho Chi Minh decided to conserve the forest as the National Park. The destination covers over 220 km2 land with different terrain condition. The park is proved to be exceptionally rich in biodiversity of fauna and flora, the living place of over 2000 plant species and 130 species of mammals, over 120 species of retiles including Monkeys, black Bears, colorful Langur, flying Civet, Squirrels.

After 3 hour road transfer, arrive at Cuc Phuong National Park’s main gate. Take a rest or stroll to the Visitors Center to have some valuable information about the park and its’ unique environment. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in the park.

Visit the Primate Rescue Center and the Turtle Conservation Center, these are two research centers for the rehabilitation, breeding, and preservation of the animals rescued from animal trafficking. Visiting the Endangered Primate Rescue Center will be one of the highlight of the journey, some of the rarest primate species in the world can be seen closely.

Your visiting Cuc Phuong National Park’s Endangered Primate Rescue Center will contribute to supporting wildlife protection in Vietnam. The Endangered Primate Rescue Center (EPRC) is a non-profit organization sponsored and managed by Frankfurt Zoological Society. The Cuc Phuong Turtle Conservation Center (TCC), Vietnam’s most important turtle conservation was founded in 1998 by Fauna and Flora International.

Wrap the day with visiting to the Cave of Ancient Man before returning to the hotel. In the evening, after dinner, go back to the forest for a night safari looking for nocturnal creatures.

Overnight in the park’s guest house.

Day 2: Cuc Phuong national park (B, L)

Wake up by the sound of the nature. Enjoy breakfast in the park’s guest house before commencing on trek along the rainforest trail to discover the rich flora and fauna and visit a 1000-year old tree in the center of the park.

After lunch in the park restaurant, take a short transfer to Cuc Phuong Resort & Spa and the rest of the afternoon will be relaxing time.

Enjoy dinner will be at the restaurant of the resort.

Overnight in Cuc Phuong.

Day 3: Cuc Phuong – Ninh Binh Hanoi (B, L)

Today, after breakfast, transfer from the resort to Hoa Lu and visit Vietnam’s ancient capital. Admire the location of the capital city which founded over 1000 years ago. Stroll in to dramatic landscape of the former capital and visit two temples dedicated to two Emperors Dinh of the Dinh Dynasty (968-979) and Emperor Le of the Le Dynasty (980-1009).

For the active ones and if time permits, hike up to the top of a limestone mountain called the Saddle for the spectacular view of the surrounding countryside.

After the visit, drive to a local restaurant and enjoy local lunch. In the afternoon, board a sampan for over an hour to discover Van Long Wetland Nature Reserve. Van Long is one of North Vietnam’s most important Wetland Nature Reserve covering over 3,000 hectares and home to many species of water birds, reptiles, fish and amphibians.

Mid afternoon, transfer for two hours by road back to Hanoi.
