THROUGH PU LUONG TREK TOUR, YOU WILL DISCOVER

Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau (L, D)

After good breakfast in hotel in Hanoi, depart for 3,5 hours drive to Mai Chau via picturesque Hoa Binh province which is well-known limestone karsts dotted allover. Along the drive pass through several villages home to Thai and Muong people.

Descend from the steep mountain road into the stunning valley of Mai Chau. Enjoy a tasty lunch, served by one of the local white Thai family. The homestay this evening is inside this quaint village and is a great way to experience the cultures and traditions of the white Thai people.

After lunch and bit of relaxation, take a short walk strolling around the villages in the middle of the rice field valley.

Trekking around the village: 1-2hr – Difficulty: Easy

Day 2: Mai Chau – Trek to Hang village (B, L, D)

After breakfast, take time to walk around the hamlets. Have lunch in the family and wave goodbye to the family before driving for 22km further into the reserve to begin the trek. After approximately 3 hrs trek arrive at Hang village, home of the white Thai ethnic minority. Here spend the night in a local Thai family in their traditional bamboo house on stilts. If time permits, stroll around and observe daily activities of the villagers before enjoying dinner prepared by your friendly local chef.

Trekking: 3hrs – Difficulty: Easy

Day 3: Hang village – Kho  Muong village (B, L, D)

If you don’t mind an early wake-up, take part in the local morning activities or take a stroll around Hang village before local styled breakfast. Wave goodbye to the host family and begin the harder trekking day. Today the trek route will include partially some steep part, old French road, as well as some stream crossings and green paddy rice fields. Along the trek encounter local people working on the nearby fields or going back from local market holding chicken or piglets.

After picnic lunch, continue along the old French road to the village of Kho Muong which nestled between steep towering karst mountains. Arrive to the destination early in the afternoon, refresh for a short while and continue on a hike for a two-hour return trip to a newly discovered and incredibly large cave. Thanks to the special ecosystem and bat species inside, the cave is well protected by the Rangers.

Trekking: 6 hrs Difficulty: Medium

Day 4: Kho Muong – Pho Doan – Hanoi (B, L)

Wake up as early as the sounds of the home chickens and ducks quacking and children going to school.

After breakfast, take a stroll around the village to experience the life in a farming community in morning. Start the trek heading out along Ma river,after 2 hours, reaching Pho Doan town. If the day is Sunday, visit the busy market of Pho Doan. The trek continues along Ma river, enjoy a nice landscape by riverside.

Meet your driver and from here transfer to Hanoi.
