THROUGH THE NONG KHIAW TREK, YOU WILL DISCOVER
Day 1: Luang Prabang – Nong Khiaw (L, D)
Depart Luang Prabang with your guide. After 3 hours transfer, check in your hotel Nong Khiaw Riverside and enjoy lunch there.
Take the rest of the day to walk and visit Phathok caves which were used as a shelter by the local villagers during the America-Vietnam War. Take the 30 minute walk with beautiful scenery and views on the way while learning more about the history of the region. After the cave exploration, stroll back to Nong Khiaw.
Spend the night in Nong Khiaw.
Day 2: Trek to Tad Mok (B, L, D)
Enjoy breakfast with river and valley view.
Spend a day for exploration of the surrounding area. At first, you will board a local boat and ride upstream the Nam Ou river. On the way, you will see rustic sighs such as buffaloes, local fisherman.
Stop to visit Sopkhong Village of Khmu ethnic minorities. Spend some time to visit their home and learn more about their traditional way of life. After the village visit, continue the trek through a magic jungle to reach Tadmok Waterfall which flow out from limestone mountains. Take a refreshing swim before a picnic lunch by the waterfall.
After lunch, have some more time to explore the beautiful area before embarking the boat to travel back to the destination for the night.
Overnight in Nong Khiaw.
Day 3: Nong Khiaw – Luang Prabang (B)
Enjoy the final morning in the riverside Nong Khiaw hotel before the 3 hour scenic car transfer to Luang Prabang.
Arrive at your own hotel in Luang Prabang and your mini adventure of Nong Khiaw is completed.
