After departing from Hue (40km), you will arrive the peaceful small village of Phuoc Tich. Not just a tranquil destination to escape for a day trip from the old imperial capital, Phuoc Tich is also great village that preserves a fascinating cultural heritage. “Nha Ruong” , typically Hue styled house, found only in Hue, is well known for its Feng Shui principle which features in the design and direction of the house. It is believed that the Feng Shui principles applied in building the village and its houses had protected its structures during the severe wars and turbulences last century. Stroll around the green hedged paths winding around the village, visit Nha Ruong as well as the family chapels and pagodas on the banks of the O Lau River to admire the hidden beautiful aspects of Vietnam that has been well preserved by the people. By the end of the morning, visit and chat with a family in their traditional home, enjoy lunch here with the owner of these traditional houses.
Wave goodbye to the family and set off to visit the best preserved structures of the village. Finally, visit a pottery workshop to see how local artisans make their flower pots and vases using traditional methods. Stroll back to the car and return to the hotel in Hue.
