Day 1: Arrive Chiang Rai

At Chiang Rai Airport, you will be greeted by your local guide and pay a visit for sightseeing at Wat Rong Khun, the White Temple. Enjoy the amazing beauty of this unique architecture before transferring to your hotel.

In the evening, have some independent at the night market then overnight in hotel in Chiang Rai.

Day 2: Chiang Rai – Golden Triangle – Chiang Mai (B, L)

Be picked up at your hotel in Chiang Rai and drive to the site of Sop Ruak to view the Golden Triangle the secret land between Laos, Myanmar and Thailand. Take a look in the Hall of Opium (closed on Monday), an impressive museum of comprehensive documents that showcase the detailed history of the area in the relation to Opium business.

After lunch, journey onward to Chiang Mai for the night.

Day 3: Elephant camp – Chiang Mai city tour (B, L, D)

Enjoy your breakfast and then transfer to the South of Chiang Mai, on the way enjoy the scenic landscape of lush green forest dotted with some farming lands to arrive at the Elephant Sanctuary in the jungle. On arrival, learn about their life in wild, learn from the mahout how to interact and play with them in natural landscape. Spend time taking them to spa then help to bathe them in a cool river. Wave goodbye to your friend elephants and have lunch before returning to Chiang Mai.

Continue the day exploring the city of Chiang Mai, walking along some of the main streets of the city to visit city’s gates, old houses, markets, and residential quarters. Next, venture driving to Doi Suthep mountain to visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, the most sacred temple in Northern region with Thailand’s most sacred stupas. Reaching the top and be rewarded with panoramic view of Chiang Mai city.

Day 4: Chiang Mai cooking class (SIC) – Departure (B, L)

If you’re a fan of delicious, authentic Thai food, you’ll love this opportunity to take a traditional Thai cooking class. This tour will transport you an hour from Chiang Mai to the Mae-Sa Valley Resort, a property set over 600-meters high amid thickly-forested hills and misty valleys and overlooking the resort’s own rice fields and out to the mountains. Spend your morning at the resort’s Craft Village and Thai Cookery school, where you will use fresh vegetables and herbs from the on-site garden to prepare several traditional Thai dishes. Your lesson will last 2.5 hours, after which you’ll be able to enjoy your own creations in the scenic charm of this mystical area. Finally, bursting with cooking skills and pad Thai, you’ll be transferred back to the city for the afternoon.
