THROUGH THE CU CHI TUNNELS TOUR, YOU WILL DISCOVER

 

At 8 AM, begin your journey, Western Saigon, to the Cu Chi Tunnels, travel through the scenic countryside which was once a stronghold of the Viet Cong and guerrilla forces.

Upon arrival, get down to a semi bunker and watch a short documentary film about what the Viet Cong solders’ life was like here during the war. The winding, dark and humid underground Cu Chi tunnel system was nerve center to some of the war’s strategic operations, including the famous 1968 Tet Offensive to Saigon City. American B52 sky fortress dropped hundreds of missiles, bombs digging huge evidential craters all around. Not only functionally used as the armor, head quarter the tunnels were supply station and hospitals for thousands of guerilla fighters. Many never came upon ground again, they lost lives from malaria and other diseases, and some guerilla got their wedding ceremony underground then a few children were also born here. By the end, you have the chance to try some of the food cassava which was the main course of the Viet Cong soldiers over ten years.

Return to Ho Chi Minh City around 1.30 PM, just in time to enjoy a late lunch in the hectic city.
