Day 1: Arrive Hanoi
Upon your arrival at Hanoi International airport, you will be welcomed and transferred by luxury car to the hotel in Hanoi city centre.
Fast track service will be arranged for your quick custom check-in.
In the afternoon, enjoy an hour breezy walking tour into some of the Old Quarter’s 36 streets, which named after the name of the products sold or made from that street. Today, a few streets still sell the product as its name.
Go to Long Bien bridge to discover the riverside of Hanoi, take the walk to the middle span of the most photogenic and iconic bridge of Hanoi. The bridge was constructed for train but today due to the special design it changes function to Hanoi’s most favorite wedding photograph place. Along the walk, some love locks are seen hooked on the bridge rail.
Dinner at one of finest restaurants in Hanoi: the Blue Butterfly restaurant (Vietnamese set menu).

Day 2: Hanoi city tour – Quintessence of Tonkin show (B, L, D)
At 8.30 AM, depart for the city tour discovering Hanoi, the first visit of the day begins at the Temple of Literature, known as the first university of Vietnam. Over the past 1,000 years, through the ups and downs of time and history, the relics still retain the architecture of the Le Dynasty in 15th century and the Nguyen Dynasty, the 19th century.
Visit the Ho Chi Minh complex which includes visiting exterior of the solemn mausoleum of the historic founding father of modern Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh. The nearby is Ho Chi Minh’s wooden house on stilts, where he lived from 1958 to 1969. Continue to The One Pillar Pagoda, founded in 1049 and represents a Lotus flower a symbolic of Buddhism.
Walk leisurely along picturesque West Lake to the 6th century Tran Quoc Buddhist Pagoda then stroll along the lake shore to the nearby Taoist temple of Quan Thanh.
Lunch of traditional Vietnamese cuisine is in a fine restaurant in the heart of Hanoi’s Old Quarter.
During the afternoon, visit the Ethnology Museum (closed on Mondays), this fascinating place offers a glimpse of Vietnam’ 54 ethnic minorities. For alternative, visit the Vietnam Women’s Museum to learn all about the important roles of Vietnamese women in history and society of the country.
Continue to visit Hanoi’s Old Quarter with a walking tour through vibrant Hang Be market and around Hoan Kiem lake. Enjoy getting lost in these narrow streets and alleyways where considered as paradise of small family businesses and shopkeepers.
Later in afternoon, you will be transferred to Sai Son village (around 20km west of Hanoi) to witness the Quintessence of Tonkin show, an amazingly Vietnamese performance which gives you in-depth knowledge about village culture in Northern Vietnam.

Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay – Lan Ha Bay – Overnight on board (B, L, D)
9:15 You will be greeted at your hotel to take the new highway to Got Ferry Terminal, Cat Hai Town, Haiphong City (arrive about 11:30). You will travel through the center of the lush Red River Delta where scenic local villages to be seen and fertile rivers to be crossed. You then will be greeted at our lounge before boarding.
12:15 Board the Heritage Cruises boat and enjoy a welcome drink as you receive a cruise briefing, safety instructions and check in to your suite. Lunch is served at L’Indochine Restaurant.
12:40 Cruise to Da Chong islet, where you can see a heritage lighthouse built by the French more than 100 years ago. After lunch, cruise to Gia Luan Lagoon where limestone karst formations dramatically rising out of the sea. This quiet bay is untouched and remote, as not many cruise ships visit.
15:00 Approach the Ba Trai Dao beaches in Lan Ha Bay, a natural frontier between two provinces, Halong Bay and Cat Ba Archipelago. This is a secret hideaway with its pristine beaches, caves and coves, plus the natural beauty of about 400 limestone islands. Options include kayaking or swimming.
17:30 Head back to the cruise ship and grab a cocktail to watch the sun set over the Gulf of Tonkin. Options include a tea ceremony or wine tasting, massage, or a Vietnamese traditional cookery class.
19:30A memorable dining experience at the restaurant features local delicacies in an intimate setting.
21:30 Relax at the top-deck bar, try your hand at squid fishing or watch a movie in the restaurant. The bars are open late.

Day 4: Halong Bay – Bai Tu Long Bay hideaway – Overnight boat cruise (B, L, D)
6:00 Practise Vovinam (traditional martial art of Vietnam) on the sundeck at sunrise, followed by coffee, tea and pastries.
8:30 Transfer to a day boat to visit Viet Hai Village. Take a bicycle ride through a rainforest tunnel that leads to a rice-field vista. Visit a traditional house in a village deep in a national park where you can observe the lifestyle of the local people. Back to the day boat to visit Bai Tu Long Bay. Lunch is served on the day boat.
13:30 Visit Bai Tu Long Bay where you can go bamboo boating, kayaking or swimming at Ba Ham Lake, enclosed by vertical cliffs (weather permitting).
16:00 Return to Heritage Cruises and join a traditional cookery class. Watch the sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin and enjoy cocktails, beer or fine wine as the sky changes color.
19:30 Enjoy a fine-dining experience in the main restaurant.
21:30 Welcome the night at the bar on the top deck, or try squid fishing or watch a movie under the stars. The bars are open late.

Day 5: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Fly to Danang– Hoi An (B, L)
6:00 Start the day with a session of Vovinam on the sundeck, followed by a light breakfast. Then take the bamboo boats to explore the Dark and Bright Cave.
9:30 Return to the ship for checkout.
10:00 Enjoy brunch while cruising back to harbour.
11:35 Return to Got Harbour and relax at our lounge while your transportation arrives.
12:10 Departure to Hanoi by our Limousine service.
You will be directly transferred to Hanoi airport to take flight to Danang. Upon arrival, you will be welcome & transferred to your hotel in Hoi An.

Day 6: Hoi An farmer & fisherman tour – Hoi An half day city tour – Lantern floating rite on river (B, L, D)
Be picked up by your guide and driver from your hotel and transfer to the bike starting point, just a little out of town in the countryside.
Here, receive a brief instruction and get familiar with your bike. Once you get familiar, hop on the bike and cycle along picturesque country roads to rural villages. On reaching the village, learn the daily work tasks of local farmers like hoeing the soil, dropping the seeds and watering over herb garden. Best part of the day will be sitting on a water buffalo and ride around the rice fields – a Buffalo boy! After being a farmer board the boat and cruise to Cua Dai Sea. Learn traditional fishing techniques throwing round fishing nets, this task looks very easy but be sure not to throw yourself into water too! There will be more fun during learning paddling the unusual and unique bamboo boats, local call this as a basket boat as it has round shape and will spin around as you row.
Get back to boat, enjoy lunch or dinner with a cold beer or soft drink.
In the afternoon, stroll the breezy Hoi An UNESCO heritage site, the town once originated from a sleepy fishing village turned into a busy trading port in Asia that welcomed international merchant boats of the Dutch, Japanese Chinese, French, Portuguese during the late 16th to the 18th Centuries, now is one of most charming coastal towns of Vietnam and Southeast Asia. The great conserving work here makes Hoi An home to a great architectural collection the country’s most beautiful traditional architecture blending with the Chinese, Japanese, French and Portuguese elements.
Start your walking tour through the streets lined along with yellow houses of home silk tailors and Orient art galleries, visit Chua Ong Pagoda the Chinese ornate structure was built from 1653. On the same street, stroll to the nearby Phuc Kien temple, the Assembly Hall of Fujkian originated merchants, one of the most important meetings cum worshipping hall of the Chinese merchants in the old days.
Visiting the 200-year old Tan Ky House will give you a glimpse of how the generation of its owners have lived. At the Japanese Covered Bridge – one of Hoi An’s most iconic landmarks, take some postcard photos before hearing from your expert guide the story about how and why the bridge was built and name Japanese Bridge. Visit the Reaching Out Tea House – an NGO establishment supporting locals with disabilities – enjoy a cup of tea before having a tasty dinner in fascinating Hoi An by the Thu Bon river.
This evening, with some colorful Hoi An lanterns in hand, attend Hoi An lantern rite. Step on a traditional wooden boat rowed by a local fisherman, once to the main stream float your lanterns along the river with your wish for happiness. This is the sacred local rite wishing for peace and happiness practiced by the locals in the central region.
Then you will be transferred back to your hotel in Hoi An for overnight.
Day 7: Hoi An – Danang(B)
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Danang for your beach break. A total relaxation!

Today you will be transferred to the Danang airport to take flight to Hanoi or to Ho Chi Minh City to connect the international flight back to your home country.
