Day 1 : Full day cycling exploration in Hue (L)

Your cycling tour begins from hotel in Hue, one of the most peaceful destinations in Vietnam, an UNESCO World Heritage site, which served as the political capital from 1802 to 1945 under the Nguyen Dynasty.

Today the cycle to explore some of Hue’s most important cultural sites. The first stop is at the Imperial Citadel, which is modelled after the Forbidden city in China. Walk along the royal pattern corridor to visit the imperial palaces, get insights into how the Royal family lived during the peak of their rule. Take a cruise along the Perfume river to Thien Mu pagoda, the most beautiful one in the whole central Vietnam. Continue from the pagoda to Ming Mang mausoleum,making a loop across the perfume river to Hue via the mausoleum of Khai Dinh royal tomb.

Day 2 : Hue – Phuoc Tich village (B, L)

Today head out in rural countryside along back roads to visit the traditional village of Phuoc Tich.

Bike through many untouched sleepy villages and peaceful local markets, we’ll come across a Catholic village, stop to visit an incense making village, learn to make one for yourself, and also a bamboo furniture village.

Arrive Phuoc Tich and adore the highlight of the village that there are many homes that date back 200 years and follow traditional fengshui designs.

Visit a local home and enjoy a traditional lunch with Uncle Ho Van Te and spend some time learning about the history of the village. In the afternoon, transfer back to Hue. The rest of day is at own leisure.

Day 3 : Hue – Hoi An (B, L)

Today, after good breakfast, depart Hue for Hoi An ancient town, UNESCO Heritage and well-preserved major Asian trading port of the 17th and 18th centuries, where architecture and peaceful lifestyle has changed very little over the years. 

Today the bike ride runs on, perhaps, the most scenic country route passes through the wonderfully photogenic fishing village of Lang Co before climbing over the Hai Van pass or “Pass of Ocean Clouds.” Panorama stunning bay view at the top is await for you.

Continue through the city of Danang, there, visit the Cham Museum, which contains the finest collection of Cham sculptures in the world. Arrive at Hoi An. Have short refreshing up and hop on a bicycle in the afternoon for a country ride around town. On the way, pass through peaceful villages with lots of vegetable farms. Stop at a pagoda, enjoy a cup of tea, and have a conversation with the monks. Alternatively, help the nearby farmers dropping seeds for corns or beans(these both subject to availability).

Continue to Cam Thanh hamlet, discovering how locals weave coconut leaves into thatch for their houses. Reach to Thu Bon river, cycle along its shoreline and seize the opportunity to paddle in a local basket boat before arriving at a fishing village. Return to Hoi An as the sun sets over the horizon.

Day 4 : Hoi An – My Son – Hoi An (B, L)

After breakfast, take a short transfer out of town, hop on the bike to begin your cycle south to the My Son sanctuary. The ride is cruising along scenic country roads surrounded by rice paddies, through eucalyptus forest on the mountainside, and passing many scenic villages where local make rice paper and dry rice noodles along the way. The road climbs away from the coast and provides some amazing panoramas from the nearby mountain top.

Arrive at My Son, which was once the Champa Kingdom’s religious centre. Although many of the temples were destroyed during the war which left huge crater nearby around, the remaining structures are still extremely impressive.

Enjoy a local lunch before exploring the ruined but impressive complex. After the visit, transfer back by bus to Hoi An. Take the rest of the day wandering around and enjoying the charm of Hoi An’s old town or relax at the hotel by the pool.

Day 5 : Hoi An – Danang – Departure (B)

Enjoy free morning at own pace to discover more of Hoi An’s ancient town before transfer to Danang international airport for the departing flight.
