THROUGH THE DISCOVER HUE AND HOI AN TOUR, YOU WILL EXPLORE

Day 1: Arrive Hue

Welcome to Hue, the former capital of Vietnam before 1945. On your arrival, our guide and driver will provide transfer to your hotel for check in. The rest of the day is free.

Overnight in Hue.

Day 2: Hue city tour (B, L)

Depart after good breakfast, around 8.30 AM for a Hue city tour. Start at the Imperial Citadel of the Nguyen Dynasty which ruled Vietnam between 1802 and 1945. Walk the royalty decorated corridor to explore deep in the royal palaces.

Continue to visit Thien Mu (Heavenly Lady) pagoda overlooking the Perfume river. Built in 1601, Thien Mu is considered as one of the most beautiful pagoda in central region of Vietnam. In garden of the pagoda is the famous Austin car when in 1963, a monk drove the vehicle to Saigon to set fire on himself to protest against the southern Government. The photo of his self-immolation is one of the most well known images of the Vietnam war.

In the afternoon, visit emperor Minh Mang’s royal tomb. The tour also include visiting Khai Dinh’s tomb which was traditionally Vietnamese design with a European touch making it unique from all the other tombs in Hue.

Wrap your day by taking some time to follow your guide lead strolling around Dong Ba market which is another of the must-see sites in Hue, and it’s a great place to catch a glimpse of everyday life.

Day 3 : Hue – Danang – Hoi An Unesco town (B, L)

Bid farewell Hue for Hoi An, drive on the most scenic route passes through the wonderfully breathtaking fishing villages at Lang Co before climbing over Hai Van Pass – the Pass of Ocean Clouds. This, perhaps is the most spectacular drive along the central coastline.

In Danang, take time to visit Cham Museum for the finest collection of Cham sculptures. Arrive at Hoi An, the Asia’s busiest trading port during 17th and 18th centuries. This afternoon, take a walking tour of the ancient town centre to visit the Tan Ky ancient house, the 400 year-old Japanese covered bridge and the colorful riverside market.

Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 4 : Hoi An – My Son – Hoi An (B)

Embark on a half-day trip to visit My Son, the capital and religious centre of the ancient Champa Kingdom. Here, visit dozens of red brick towers and sanctuaries dating from between the 7th and 13th centuries. The special technique to stick the bricks is almost unknown till today.

Upon returning to Hoi An, the afternoon is free to relax or have the last chance for art souvenirs or Hoi An silk shops.

Day 5 : Hoi An – Danang – Departure (B)

The morning is at leisure until transfer to Danang airport for the flight to your next destination.
