Day 1: Arrive Hue

On your arrival to Hue, be met and greeted by our guide who will escort to your hotel for check in.

Hue, once was the capital city of Vietnam from 1802 to 1945, is one of the richest historical lands of Vietnam. This destination allures visitors with its picturesque and charming landscape, mesmerizing beauty of the ancient tombs and royal palaces from the former kings of Vietnam’s last feudalism. With such beautiful royal monuments, Hue was recognized UNESCO world heritage of Vietnam in 1993.

Take time to stroll around the citadel wall or enjoy free time at leisure.

Day 2: Hue city tour (B, L)

Today, be transferred on a traditional mean of transportation the cyclo to visit the Imperial Citadel of the Nguyen Dynasty which was ruling the country between 1802 and 1945. Spend time to stroll along the internal corridor leading to the Great Meridian Gate then explore deeper into the Royal Forbidden City. Leave the citadel and head to Hue College of Medicine and Pharmacy where there is a center providing the job training for disabled youth. The center also provides a rehabilitation program helping the children of intellectual disabilities as well as charitable heart operations.

Note:
Apart from reducing environment issue, taking cyclo trip today will also bring a great opportunity for local interaction, the cost of the cyclo ride also help improve income of the local men who are considered as some of the most underprivileged in Vietnam.

Enjoy a Vietnamese lunch then visit a local family who produces kites. Your visiting the artisan family will be very meaningful in helping them to remain their unique skill and keep the craft alive. Have a hands-on craft lesson in the family to make your own kite for a souvenir.

Return to your hotel and free time at leisure.

Day 3: Hue – Danang – Hoi An (B, L)

After breakfast, begin the day with Minh Mang’s Mausoleum, sit amidst tranquil gardens and lotus ponds and inspired by Feng Shui, the royal tomb feature a harmony in great balance with symmetry. Continue to Khai Dinh’s Tomb where there are several architectural styles are seen such as traditional Vietnamese, Chinese, Roman, Catholic. The mixed designs of the tomb make it unique, standing out of all tombs in Hue.

Today, enjoy a special delicious vegetarian lunch in a pagoda surrounded by the tranquil grounds of garden. Your lunch will be prepared by the nuns from this pagoda. Be sure that your lunch today will be supporting the nuns in their charitable works for the local community.

Wave goodbye to the friendly nun and travel South to Hoi An, another world UNESCO heritage and a former trading port for international Fareast Indian ships during the 17th and 18th centuries. On the way, enjoy the scenic stops on the Hai Van pass, literally means the Pass of Sea Cloud, reaching the top to embrace great view of the two bays.

In Danang, stop to visit Cham Museum where the finest collection of Cham sculptures is well displayed.

After check in hotel in Hoi An, be free at leisure.

Day 4: Hoi An city tour (B, L)

Enjoy a lavish breakfast, join in a walking tour to discover the ancient town of Hoi An with visiting the merchants’ old shop houses, the iconic Japanese Bridge, Fujian assembly house before strolling the colorful market.

The restaurant for lunch is a not-for-profit, social enterprise helping the street kids and other disadvantaged ones around Hoi An.

After lunch, visit the Lifestart Foundation, a registered and non-profit charity organization in Hoi An providing aids to the underprivileged community around. Be sure that the profit of this tour will support directly to the members at Lifestart.

Join in an hour lantern making class by a local artist who had received assistance from the Lifestart. While learning for the craft skills for making lantern enjoy interactive conversation with the members and get a glimpse of the culture and life in the area.

Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 5: Hoi An – Danang – Departure (B)

After breakfast, enjoy some final hour for gift shopping or free at leisure. Depart for Danang Airport on a private transfer.
